Legends and Luxury: The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Legends Championships

Launched and produced by InsideOut Sports & Entertainment, the Outback Champions Series brings high-level international tennis players together to put their athletic skills and competitive instincts to the test. Comprised of eight different events, this series of tournaments was founded in 2005. Players accumulate ranking points which are calculated to determine the top player at the end of the series. The Outback Champions Series events feature tennis players over the age of 30 who have reached a Grand Slam singles final, have achieved a top-five world ranking or have played singles on a championship Davis Cup team. This year, with the 2008 Series' Legends Championships to be hosted by The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, the excitement of world-class tennis will be showcased in a truly luxurious setting.

The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman consist of 69 stunning oceanfront homes, in addition to a 20,000 square-foot penthouse known as 7 South. As recently announced by InsideOut Sports & Entertainment, seven of the eight available spots will be filled by Jimmy Arias, John McEnroe, Wayne Ferreira, Todd Martin, Jim Courier, Mats Wilander and Mikael Pernfors. To round out the field, Paul Haarhuis, a former top ranking world doubles player, will appear as a wild-card entry. With such prominent players scheduled to appear in the Cayman Islands tournament, the event will be one of the most prestigious to take place in the Caribbean.
